How much will I need to invest?
Our process is always customised to each individual client to deliver on project requirements, expectations, goals and budgets. We discuss all these factors with you and then provide an estimate based on information provided, the established project scope and the value we deliver. How long does the process take?
Project timeframes are varied and dependent on factors such as the project type/complexity and your availability for any required meetings and feedback sessions. Many of our processes/services require completion of a previous phase, however some can overlap and work in unison, which will speed up the process. We will provide an estimate of timeframes for the entire project or project stages once we have established the project scope.
We’re not located in the same region/town. Can we still work together?
Location is not an issue as we can manage projects over distance, in fact, a number of our clients are not local to us. Technology is a wonderful thing (most of the time), we have the phone, Teams/Zoom for chats and screen shares, email for sending PDF proofs and old fashioned postage for sending receiving samples/products/packaging etc. We can use whatever combination works best with each client.
I need a logo, I know exactly what I want it to look like and just need someone to make it. Can you help me with this?
Short answer is ‘no’. This is not the type of project we take on. You are the designer in this case and you simply need a computer operator who can create artwork based on your concept using computer software. We bring research, strategic thinking and execution to all our projects. It’s quite likely more than you are looking for.
How does payment work?
Most of our branding and website projects will require a deposit of 50% of the total project investment. This deposit is due after you send us a signed ‘Terms of Service Agreement‘ (form available in the ‘Documents’ section on this page). Generally, the final 50% payment is requested on completion of the project, however, if the scope of the project is larger, the final 50% may be broken down in to smaller milestone payments. What’s not included in your Proposal/s?
Generally, unless specifically stated or supplied, the following items are not included in our Branding, Design or Website Development proposals:
Typefaces
Due to the varied nature of typeface costs, expenses relating to typeface purchases are not included in our Proposal/s. Any necessary expenses will be advised by VSD Creative and invoiced accordingly.
Photography
Expenses relating to photography services and stock photography purchases are not included in our Proposal/s. Any necessary expenses will be advised by VSD Creative and invoiced accordingly.
Printing/Production
Expenses relating to collateral/document printing or signage production are not included in our Proposal/s. However, we have long-standing and trusted relationships with a number of quality print and signage suppliers and can provide you with separate printing and signage proposals for your project. If printing and/or signage proposals are accepted, they are invoiced prior to printing/production commencement.
Domain registration and website hosting/maintenance
Expenses relating to domain registration and website hosting/maintenance are not included in our Proposal/s. Separate domain registration and website hosting/maintenance proposals can be supplied, and if accepted, invoiced prior to registration or hosting/maintenance commencement.
Do you include printing or signage?
Our Branding, Design or Website Development proposals generally don’t include costs associated with collateral/document printing and signage production/installations. There are various factors such as quantities, materials and budgets which are difficult to pre-determine at the beginning of a project.
That said, key factors to brand success are unique and consistent brand applications. We do prefer the opportunity to oversee your brand application to printed materials and signage production/installations. We have long-standing and trusted relationships with a number of quality print and signage suppliers and can provide you with separate printing and signage proposals for your project.
